20 Questions!

I love having twins, but sometimes I feel like I play the 20 Questions game every time we go out!

I saw this 20 questions from a fellow twin MoM (Mother of Multiples)...

1. Are they identical or fraternal? Fraternal, they have different plumbing!

2. Did you have a c-section or natural birth? Somewhat emergency C-section. They told me that day and a few hours later they were delivered.

3. Did they have to be in the NICU? Yes, Joseph 3 weeks and Breanne 4 weeks. Some of the worst days of my life. I cannot begin to describe how hard it is to leave the hospital without your babies!

4. Do they sleep in the same crib? For the first month they were in separate isolettes in the NICU. When they came home they slept in the same crib until they were 3 months old and have been sleeping in their own cribs ever since.

5. Do you breastfeed or bottle feed? I pumped while they were in the NICU (they were too small to nurse), then pumped and supplemented with formula. and then formula fed after that.

6. Are they on the same schedule? Yes, can't imagine it any other way.

7. Do you have double of everything? Most everything.

8. How many diapers do you go through in a week? 75

9. Do you dress them the same? No, but some days I try to have them coordinate.

10. Do they notice each other yet? Yes, and its really cute when they smile at each other.

11. Did you have a hard pregnancy? No, it was not "hard" I actually painted my entire house and way very active....at the end I got put on bed rest and that was difficult but short lived since they arrived 3 days later.

12. Did you get stretchmarks? A few but you can't even see them in a bikini.

13. How much weight did you gain? 47 lbs (delivered at 33 weeks)

14. Do they sleep through the night? For the most part but we still have nights when one wakes up for a bottle and then goes right back to bed.

15. Do you take them anywhere by yourself? Definitely, I would die if I was stuck in the house all day.

16. How can you tell them apart? See question 1

17. Can you tell them apart? Yes, including their cries!

18. Are they good babies? I think they are good babies but I guess that depends on who you ask.

19. Which one is bigger? Joseph is about 2lbs bigger and 1 inch longer....lets just say he is a good eater.

20. How in the world do you do it? I truly believe no matter what life dealt you, you just learn to adapt and deal with it! Some days are easy and some days are a little more challenging.
