Yesterday, we had an appointment at L&D for another
NST (non-stress test) and the last steroid injection to help speed up lung development. They hooked me up to all the monitors and while the babies heartbeats looked great and showed no signs of stress. I was contacting every 2-6 minutes (I actually felt 2-3 of them this time) and they did not want to let me go home without checking with the doctor. They completed a
FFN test (Fetal
Fibroncetin Test) which tests for a protein found in the last two weeks before you deliver. The good news is the test came back negative which means there is a 99% chance I
won't go into
pre-term labor within the next two weeks. They also gave me a shot of
Terbutaline which stops the
contractions I was having. They want me to continue with
bed rest and drink LOTS of water which may be a reason I was having
contractions. On a
side note...the last two nights I have been very impressed with the staff at the hospital.

Woo-hoo for passing the FFN test! Hang in there with the bedrest. Best of luck, Heather.D from the nest
